The House
We began with a question.
What if the objects we use every day could be quietly beautiful — made with care, and worth keeping longer than the trend that introduced them?
Mawlaii is our slow answer. We are a small India-based curator, gathering independent makers we have visited, whose materials we can name, and whose intent we can vouch for. Each one sits under our roof for the same reason: a refusal to compromise on something most stores have stopped asking about.
Our makers
Four houses, chosen with intention.
Adviah is grown in the hills of Meghalaya — single-origin spices, slow-cultivated, traceable to the field. Rochcha shapes drinkware and small objects for the daily ritual. Kaiyo Tokyo makes pouches for the modern carry. Farnup dresses the well-mannered companion.
We expect to add others slowly, or not at all.
Our way
Quiet, considered, kept.
We do not chase volume. We do not run sales. We do not invent urgency. We expect our customers to read, to ask, and to take their time. In return, we promise objects that earn their place — and a house that will still be here, slowly growing, when the next trend has come and gone.

Mawbynna Farms Pvt Ltd is the Indian company behind this storefront. We design, curate, and run Mawlaii from a small studio, working alongside the makers represented on our shelves.
